The story of City West Water and a look at MT-PCR

WQRA's state-based Node Meetings give us an opportunity to provide local updates on recent events, and provide members with an opportunity to connect with with other local members and WQRA staff.

The recent WQRA Node Meeting for Victoria and Tasmania was held at City West Water, in Sunshine, Victoria, on 19 October and was followed by a tour of Sunshine Golf Course Sewer Mine.

The agenda included an informative presentation from Scott Jordan-Legg on the story of City West Water, and a presentation from Judy Blackbeard on a project examining the use of MT-PCR to assess toxic algal blooms (WQRA Project 1043). The meeting also provided an opportunity for attendees to exchange news and discuss current issues.

Staff from WQRA member organisations can access the papers for this meeting, as well as presentations from the meeting, under the 'Events' section of the WQRA website (go to 'Past Members Meetings'). You will need to log in as a member to access this section. If you have not yet registered, simply use the 'Register New Account' link on the right side of this page.
