Members gather in Darwin

WQRA members from all around Australia gathered in Darwin in August

WQRA members' meetings provide an important opportunity for staff from WQRA member organisations to gather and exchange news, as well as finding out about WQRA initiatives and developments in the water quality arena.

The recent Darwin members' meeting, held on 25 and 26 August, 2011, at Mantra Pandanas, covered a range of issues and developments in water quality. Presenters included:

  • Karen Beirne, Senior Policy Officer, Environmental Health Branch, Department of Health
  • Darryl Day, General Manager, Remote Operations, Power and Water Corporation
  • Heather Chapman, Program Leader, Health & Environment, Griffith University
  • Simon Beecham, Head of the School of Natural and Built Environments, University of South Australia
  • Mark O'Donohue, CEO, Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence
  • Stephen Purvis, Water Research Engineer, Technical Resource Group, Centre for Appropriate Technology
