Election for WQRA Directors

October 5, 2011

Nominations are in for WQRA Director roles

Four Director roles on the WQRA Board reach the end of their terms with the upcoming WQRA AGM in October: one Industry Director role and three Research Director roles.

Mr Keith Cadee (Water Corporation), who is a current Industry Director, has renominated, and as his nomination is uncontested, he is duly elected (as per the WQRA Consititution). We welcome Keith to a new term as a WQRA Director, and look forward to his ongoing contributions to WQRA.

Four nominations have been received for Research Director roles. Prof Simon Beecham (UniSA), Dr John Howard (Australian Water Quality Centre) and Prof David Waite (University of NSW) have renominated, and Prof Stephen Gray (Victoria University) has also been nominated. We thank all the nominees for their interest and willingness to serve on the WQRA Board.

Election voting forms have been provided to WQRA member representatives so that they can vote on behalf of their organisations for the Research Director candidates. Member representatives should return their voting form to the WQRA Returning Officer, Susan Spragg, by 5pm CDST on Thursday 20 October, 2011. Any enquiries can be directed to Susan on (08) 7424 2445.
