This project will focus on utilising the standard calculated equivalent parameters from the S::CAN system and surrogate parameters, chlorine demand and THM, that were developed from the previous CRCWQT research work.

The objectives of the project are to:

  • To assess the feasibility of using on-line surrogate parameters as early warning for water incidents
  • To undertake two case studies to evaluate the approach of using real-time surrogate measurement as an early warning system and assess the strategy of controlling chemical dosing such as chlorine or coagulant using a real-time monitoring system
