There are jobs in the water industry for engineers, chemists, biologists, microbiologists, mathematicians, physicists, ecologists, economists, social scientists, polymer scientists, modellers and many other professionals.

PhD Honours Summer
WQRA PhD Scholarships are awarded to students with exceptional research potential undertaking a higher degree by research. WQRA Honours Scholarships provide the opportunity for students to continue to enhance their research skills and professional development in a wide range of water industry related areas.
WQRA Summer Scholarships is an introduction for undergraduate students to experience a "taste" of real life research with a "hands-on" approach.
WQRA provides students with the opportunity to enhance their research skills and professional development to a point that makes them a valuable and employable asset to the water industry.

WQRA PhD Scholarships are open to domestic and international students enrolled at Australian member universities.

The Nancy Millis PhD Scholarship is offered annually in honour of microbiologist Emeritus Professor Nancy Millis AC MBE  for her pioneering work in agriculture, environmental protection, medicine and engineering.  This scholarship is to be awarded to an outstanding and focused student.
WQRA Honours Scholarships are awarded to students of exceptional research potential who are currently undertaking a relevant degree (e.g. science, social science or engineering). Students who excel in this focussed program will build capacity in the area of water research, thus providing opportunities for employment in the water industry or to progress to postgraduate degree in a water-related field of research.

WQRA Honours Scholarships are open to domestic students at member universities.
The Summer Scholarships provide the students with the opportunity to gain “hands on” knowledge and learn skills such as problem solving, laboratory techniques, presentation skills & report writing.

WQRA Summer Scholarships are open to domestic students.  Students may be located at member organisations.
