Ms Jodieann Dawe
Chief Executive Officer

WQRA CEO Jodieann Dawe has a strong background in not-for-profit and research oriented organisations. She was employed as Manager, Research Operations, for producer-owned company Meat and Livestock Australia before taking up the role as the Managing Director of a start-up not-for-profit organisation, limited by guarantee, Arc@UNSW. Her previous work history ranges from technology transfer and commercialisation of R&D, to scientific marketing and R&D process engineering. Jodieann’s academic  qualifications include a Masters of Applied Science (Chemistry), a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma of Finance, Securities and Corporate Law. In addition to being a Chartered Chemist, she is graduate of the Australian Institute of Company  Directors, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and an certified member of Chartered Secretaries Australia.

 

Dr David Halliwell
Program Manager - Wastewater and Recycled Water 

David plays a key role in R&D strategy formulation, project development, funding and delivery. David makes a significant contribution to the corporate activities of WQRA, including maintaining excellent stakeholder relations, which is vital to WQRA’s success. David is responsible for managing the Wastewater and Recycled Water Research Programs.

Gareth Roeszler

Research Programs Coordinator

Gareth coordinates and administers projects in the Research Program to ensure projects meet the expectations of WQRA members. This includes developing new concepts, formulating proposals, managing contracts and reporting to members and the WQRA Board on progress.

Carolyn Bellamy

Education Program Coordinator

Carolyn’s key role is to support the Education Program’s primary aim of building capability and capacity for the water industry through the PhD, Master and Honours Initiatives. Carolyn engages with students and supervisors to ensure the correct support and reporting processes are in place throughout the candidature.

Susan Spragg 
Executive Assistant to the CEO


Susan is the Executive Assistant to the CEO and is responsible for a diverse range of administrative and key functions within WQRA. She is the first point of contact within the organisation and is also the company event coordinator.

Vince Mazzone

Corporate Services Manager

Vince oversees the corporate administration, planning and finance functions of WQRA. He is also responsible for oversight of contracting, which is a critical function supporting the Research and Education Programs.

Fred Fleuren
Senior Finance Officer

Fred is the senior finance officer at WQRA and is responsible for payment of accounts, invoicing and monitoring and reporting on external funding partnerships.

Marketing & Communications Manager

Eva is the marketing and communications manager at WQRA, where she is responsible for a range of publications and communication tools. Her focus is on helping WQRA to raise awareness of its work, and support the uptake of research findings.
